Medeama came from behind to deny Asante Kotoko a win in a friendly match played at the Essipong Stadium on Wednesday.
Kotoko who are preparing for their CAF Confederation Cup campaign took the lead through Emmanuel Gyamfi with just 29 minutes played.
Gyamfi controlled and slotted pass Eric Ofori Antwi off a well served pass from Obed Owusu.
A minute after, Muntari Tagoe was on-hand to parry away a timely header from Kwame Boateng – to ginger on the crowd.
With few minutes to the end of the first half, Frederick Boateng was served on a plate, a delightful pass after Eric Ofori Antwi had failed to gather the ball – the attacker in an attempt to shoot slipped to spur the chance.
Medeama however came up slightly on top in the second period, pinning Kotoko deep in their half as they chased the equalizer.
It eventually came in added on time through Rashid Nortey who slid through to ensure Medeama will steal a late equalizer to end the game 1:1.
