The striker is delighted after a majestic performance against Uruguay in which she scored a fantastic hat trick on Tuesday night to help Ghana annihilate the host nation.
The Black Maidens opened their FIFA U-17 World Cup campaign with flying colors by hammering tournaments host Uruguay by 5-0.
It was a game which saw the captain of the side Mukarama Abdulai bagged a hat trick as Fuseina Mumuni and Melot Pokuaa added a goal each.
“I’m very excited for this achievement and winning the best player award. Our aim was to win the first match then we look forward to the next games. I’m very happy and excited. I’m looking forward to the next games” the skipper said after the game.
Ghana will face Finland on Friday in their second game in group A before closing their group play against New Zealand on November 20.
Meanwhile Finland in the other group gameĀ lost against New Zealand by 1-0 putting the Ghanaians on top of the standings.
