Ghana midfielder Fuseina Mumuni will undergo another scan on Wednesday evening to verify the severity of the injury she picked up in the 5-0 win over Uruguay on Tuesday.
The youngster had to be replaced in the 38th minute having collided with the Uruguayan goalkeeper in their opening game of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.
Mumuni who had given Ghana the lead after 20 minutes was taken straight to the hospital where initial tests were conducted.
She was cleared of any fracture but FIFA has ordered further scans be conducted on Wednesday evening to confirm the initial findings.
Coach Evans Adotey is however likely to be without Mumuni for the second group game against Finland on Friday.
