Black Queens head coach Bashiru Hayford has warned his Saturday opponents Algeria to expect to battle against an improved Black Queens.
Ghana and Algeria meet in the opening game of the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations on Saturday November 17 in Accra.
The Queens were beaten by Zambia and drew against Kenya in their first two pre-tournament international friendlies but bounced back to beat South Africa by 1-0 on Sunday as Bashir Hayford’s players performed well and were saluted by the few fans at the stadium.
And Hayford has promised a different and improved Black Queens performance against Algeria on Saturday.
‘They should expect very beautiful football. There will be an improvement.’ Bashir Hayford promised.
‘Yes it is improvement by improvement. First match, second match and this is the third match. Saturday you will see a different set up and a different performance for everybody to cheer up.’ he added.
Meanwhile the Algerians lost 2-1 to Ivory Coast in their latest friendly match played in Abidjan – where the North Africans pitched camp ahead of the tournament.
Algeria play Ivory Coast again on Monday before packing their things to leave for Ghana ahead of their tournament opener against Portia Boakye, Samira Suleiman, Elizabeth Addo and friends at the Accra sports stadium on Saturday.
