Levante UD striker Emanuel Boateng had a great season of 2017/18 scoring an incredible hat trick against eventual La Liga champions FC Barcelona but the Ghanaian striker is experiencing a nightmarish campaign this season.
The young forward scored 6 times and made 1 assist in 25 games in all competitions last season but this season has been hard.
The 22-year old forward is without a goal in 8 appearances this season for Levante UD having seen 397 minutes of action. He started in four games of his eight appearances and failed to make any impact.
The former Moreirense player is not only failing to get onto the score sheet but has also failed to provide any assists making his current campaign a complicated one.
It is 397 minutes of football now that Boateng has not found the back of the net this term and he remained on the bench throughout the whole duration of his side’s 1-1 away draw at Villareal on Sunday.
First choice forward Jose Morales started up front as usual and was joined by Spanish striker Roger and when when coach Paco Lopez decided to bring on another striker when Levante were losing by 1-0 it was the on-loan Real Madrid forward Borja Mayoral that got the nod to replace Roger in the 60th minute as Boateng watched from the bench.
Boateng missed the the first two matches of the season due to injury but since his come back he appears far from the player he was last season at the Ciutat de València.
