President of Medeama SC, Moses Armah has revealed that his outfit aren’t ready to participate in next season’s Africa inter club competition.
It was earlier reported in the media that Medeama SC will join Asante Kotoko to represent Ghana in CAF inter clubs competition for next season but according to the President of the Mauves and Yellow, his club lack the needed finances to play in Africa’s biggest club competition.
“We are not ready for CAF Champions League, we don’t even have a venue to play games at home, let’s speak facts and put things in the right place. Let’s back the Normalization Committee to work effectively; we need to prepare our clubs”. Armah stressed
The Meadeama boss further emphasized that they have already called on the Normalization Committee to declare them winners of the 2017-2018 season of Ghana Premier which ended abruptly and that doesn’t necessarily mean they want to go to Africa.
“Declaring us Champions of the league will not push us to go to Africa, what money are we going to use. Do you know how much we suffered the last time we went? Government didn’t even help us when we were in a pole position to win a trophy. We are just not ready, we are not prepared for Africa” he added.
