Ghana football received a big news on Tuesday.
The former Ghana Football Association was banned from all football related activities on Tuesday after a 130-day investigation against his conduct in the Anas football corruption video.
FIFA says Kwesi Nyantakyi is also fined CHF 500 000 which is equivalent to about $498 000.
The Wa All Stars President was seen taking cash gift in a Tiger Eye PI undercover video which violates the FIFA code of ethics.
Nyantakyi, who became GFA president in December 2005, saw a very solid reputation brought down to earth by his dishonest conduct in the Tiger Eye Pi undercover video.
Nyantakyi thus becomes the second high profile Ghanaian in football to be banned for life from the game by FIFA after top referee J.O Lamptey was handed the same eternal punishment in March 2017 following his controversial refereeing in a World Cup qualifying game between South African and Senegal.
In May 2018 Isaac Addo the acting GFA general secretary was banned for 9 months for sexual assault against a woman.
Football player Samuel Inkoom is currently also serving a FIFA ban after he was found guilty of cheating an intermediary.
Seems Ghanaians have become familiar with FIFA bans……..
