Head of communications for Ghana Premier League side Karela United, Eric Alagidede has confirmed that his outfit could sell Maxwell Baako and Abdul Ganiyu to Kotoko.
The duo were in fantastic form for Karela before the league ended abruptly and they have caught the eyes of Kotoko for their Africa campaign.
The Karela media head revealed that talks have started between them and the Porcupine Warriors and is likely the pair will move to Kumasi.
“For those two, we are negotiating with them; we will be meeting with them this afternoon, if there is an opportunity for the boys to play in Africa for them to be seen, why not?”Alagidede hinted.
“At Karela United, we have a policy, it is not part of us to prevent our players from developing, Kotoko is much more bigger brand and most definitely they are going to play in the CAF Confederation Cup, I think is a bigger platform, than the Zylophone Cash Premier League. If they are able to match the asking price, we will sell to them.”
Alagidede was however mute on the value of the duo as he maintains he is not among those doing the transaction.
“I’m not part of the negotiating team; I will not be able to disclose that to you now even though I have a fair idea of the price.”
