Ghana winger David Atanga will return to the Greuther Furth training grounds this week after sustaining an injury over the weekend.
Atanga made way for Marco Caligiuri in the 35th minute on Sunday as his side defeated Arminia Bielefield 3-2 in the German second-tier.
The Ghana youth star had a finger poked to his eye by an opponent but after being examined by the Greuther Furth medical staff, he has been declared fit to start training.
“Atanga has no more problems and will train again this week with the team. An opponent poked a finger into his eye but he has been declared fit,” A statement from Greuther Furth on Monday revealed.
The talented wide man has played nine games for Furth this season scoring one goal and providing four assists.
