Assistant coach of Cameroon Bernadette Anor believes her side stands an equal chance as any team to win the 2018 Africa Women’s Nations Cup.
The Indomitable Lioness have been drawn in Group A alongside tournament hosts Ghana, Mali and Algeria.
This group has been widely considered as the most difficult of the two groups following the draw on Sunday.
But Anor who helped her side to a second place finish last term on home soil feels all the teams have an equal chance of winning the trophy.
“I believe our chances are equal since we are all there to fight for the trophy,” she told FootballmadeinGhana.com.
“I don’t think this is a group of death. The thing is that every country has grown in female soccer and you cannot underrate anyone.”
Cameroon will begin their campaign against Mali before facing Algeria and then Ghana in their subsequent group games.
The 2018 Africa Women’s Nations Cup will kick off in Accra on November 17.
