Karela United’s communications director Eric Alagidede of Ghana premier league side Karela United has debunked some media reports the club is set to be taken over by a top politician following the death of the owner of David Cobbinah Brigidi.
Mr.Brigidi , who was Senator for the Bayelsa Central constituency of Bayelsa State of Nigeria, passed away on September 30 in London where he was receiving treatment.
But speaking to Footballmadeinghana Alagidede rubbished the reports describing them as ridiculous.
“Disregard these rumors. The owner of the club is dead. The man has not been buried and people are talking about takeover? This is ridiculous” Eric told Footballmadeinghana.
“There is absolutely no truth about it, treat it with the contempt it deserves”
