Member of the Ghana FA’s Normalisation Committee Dua Adonteng says he was late for his own press conference because of his personal business.

The seasoned lawyer is in the news for the wrong reasons after an altercation with a journalist during a press briefing on Wednesday.

Adonteng who had arrived over an hour late for his own press conference insulted the journalist as ‘stupid’ when confronted over his late arrival.

He now explains he was held back because of his personal business since his work on the Normalisation Committee is not financially rewarding.

“Some of you don’t know the burden on some of us,” he told Asempa FM.

“You know we are not being paid for this Normalization job so when a job comes in the middle of an NC meeting, I’ll have to go for that to feed my family.”

The Normalisation Committee is now meeting stakeholders in football after a month of their appointment.

They have been tasked by FIFA to amongst other things reform the Ghana FA and preside over elections that will usher in the new administration.
