The Normalisation Committee of the Ghana FA are struggling to find opponents for the Black Queens for friendly matches ahead of the 2018 Africa Womens Nations Cup.
The Black Queens are hoping to win their first ever African title on home soil when the tournament kicks off next month.
Coach Bashir Hayford’s team have returned to their training camp in Prampram having completed a regional tour.
The team was hoping to get some international friendly matches to sharpen their preparations towards the tournament.
But the Normalisation Committee without the requisite network are struggling to secure opponents for a friendly.
Several plans to have national teams of at least countries along the West African coast to play in friendly matches have fallen through.
This was a concern put before the Normalisation Committee when they met with the technical handlers of the Black Queens on Thursday.
Bashir Hayford fears the team’s lack of exposure could come back to haunt the team when the competition commences.
Most of the buildup to the 2018 AWCON has been focused on getting facilities ready for the tournament with minimum attention given to the team’s preparations.
