Hearts of Oak insist they will not sell their star player Patrick Razak to rivals Asante Kotoko.

Reports are rife that Kotoko have made contact to the player through his representatives over a move.

Razak is part of a list of seven being wanted by new Kotoko coach Charles Akonnor.

Kotoko management has already initiated moves to have all the targets including Razak secured for their new coach.

But Hearts in a release have stated they will not sell to their arch rivals despite the running out of Razak’s contract.

“We wish to state categorically that if they [Kotoko] do [make an official request for Razak], Hearts’ position will be that no amount of gold in that Kumasi Asante Kotoko will offer will make us sell them Patrick Razak because I will NEVER happen under the good leadership of CEO Mark Noonan,” the statement read.

It is unclear at this point whether Kotoko will push ahead with their plans to sign Patrick Razak especially with this response from Hearts of Oak.
