Charles Akonnor asked the Asante Kotoko management to secure seven players including Patrick Razak, Simon Zibo and Elvis Opoku.
The former Black Stars captain was unveiled as the new Kotoko coach on Wednesday.
Akonnor looks to build a solid side capable of meeting his given target of ‘winning the CAF Champions League within the shortest possible time’.
As such, the former Hearts of Oak, Dreams FC and AshGold trainer has penciled a list of seven players he wants the club to sign.
Akonnor has however told management he would be ok if they manage to get four out of the seven he’s identified.
The Kotoko management have in turn given Akonnor a firm assurance of their commitment of securing the players he’s asked for.
Talks have already commenced for Patrick Razak and Simon Zibo to join Kotoko.
FootballmadeinGhana.com also understands that Aduana Stars are willing to let go of Elvis Opoku following his media rants against the club last month.
