The Porcupines Warriors bounce back from the 3-2 Ashantigold defeat last weekend to rip apart the Brong Ahafo side.
A brace from dangerman Songne Yacouba and a Kwame Boahene strike handed Asante Kotoko an emphatic victory against Berekum Chelsea in a high profile friendly game on Sunday.
Yacouba who bagged another brace against Hearts of Oak was unplayable on Sunday as the Burkinabé was dominant in every aspect of the game.
The 2011 Ghana champions were without influential duo Frederick Owusu Addae and Latif Salifu – who scored for the Blues in the 1-1 premier league draw in Kumasi on April 18.
Yacouba scored a brilliant brace in the 51st minute and 90th after former Medeama winger Boahene had put Akakpo Patron’s side in front in the 15th minute of the first half.
Berekum Chelsea, who defeated the Porcupine Warriors at the same stadium by 3-0 in a premier league encounter of the 2015 season could not break the resolute Kotoko defense and could not match the quality of their rivals.
The win is Kotoko’s fourth against top flight opposition since the football season was thrown into doubt following the Anas Number 12 video.
