Communication manager of Asante Sarfo Duku has debunked media reports that the club have decided to renew the contract of some players.

Reports have been rife of management’s decision to extend the contracts of five players including Amos Frimpong, Augustine Sefa and Emmanuel Gyamfi.

The club however say there are no truth in these reports.

“It’s not true we have decided to extend the contract of five (5) players as rumored in the media,” Sarfo Duku told Oyerepa fm.

“Our discussions on player contracts are not about the five players mentioned but all others whose contracts are running out”

“But we shouldn’t also forget we don’t have a substantive coach who will advice us on these technical issues” He added.

“some of these negotiations are dragging because we want our new coach to assume office so he assess these players and we will take it from there”

Contracts of players like Obed Owusu and Emmanuel Gyamfi have almost run out and the club will be looking forward to renew them.
