Asante Kotoko have rejected the resignation of coach Paa Kwesi Fabin and asks him to honor the remainder of his contract.

The former Black Starlets manager resigned from his position on Friday morning to the dismay of many.

But in a press release dated September 13 , 2018 and signed by the Chief executive officer Mr. George Amoako , the club refused to let him go.

The release also refers Mr. Fabin to Section 12.3 of his contract with the club which requires that he pays the money covering the remaining period of the agreement before he could resign.

“Section 12.3 (of the contract signed between Kotoko and Paa Kwesi Fabin) states: “If the Head Coach terminates this Agreement before the expiry of the term hereby granted or any extension thereof, he shall pay to the club the sum equivalent to the sums due him for the unexpired period of the contract.”
