The midfielder scored three goals for Aduana Stars across the Champions League and Confederation Cup.
“This was my first time playing in Africa and I’ve learned a lot coming up against some of the best clubs on the continent like ASEC, Raja and Setif” Opoku told FootballmadeinGhana.com
“Africa is the highest level and it wasn’t really easy at all. But I can say that scoring three times was great debut on a personal level.” the former Gold Stars player said.
“It was however quiet disappointing for the team as we wanted to do better. You can say that we improved compared to 2011 when the club competed in Africa for the first time but failed to advance the first round. We dropped from the Champions league and made it all the way to the group phase” Opoku explained in an exclusive interview with this website.
Aduana Stars are currently on a month-long break and Elvis is spending some time in Kumasi.
