Communications Director of Asante Kotoko, Sarfo Duku has mocked Hearts of Oak saying they only agreed to play in the Super 2 friendly clash for financial gains.
The two giants engaged each other in a two-legged friendly match at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Kotoko reigned supreme, beating their arch rivals 2-0 in both games.
The games, in particular the return encounter recorded an impressive turnout in relation to gate proceeds with both clubs entitled to an equal net share of what was realized.
Hearts according to the Kotoko spokesman emerged the happier of the two despite suffering an aggregate loss of 4-0 as they consoled themselves with their share of the booty which was widely reported to be in the region of GHC 90,000.
“It’s all about Kotoko, looking at things Hearts used us to gain money,” Duku told FOX FM.
“Their supporters who came were less than 20% of you calculate it and to be honest, the evidence was so clear, all of you (the media) were there, everyone know it in Ghana, and it’s an open secret.”
