The Black Starlets opened their 2019 CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualification with a 0-0 draw against host nation Niger.
Starlets midfielder Simon Appiah wasted a crucial 43rd minute penalty.

The draw gives Niger two points as leaders of the group whilst Karim Zito’s charges need to avoid defeat against the Junior Hawks of Togo on September 8.
