FootballmadeinGhana.com broke the news of the Inter Milan midfielder’s injury on Wednesday morning in his first training session with the Black Stars in Ethiopia.
Kwadwo Asamoah limped out of training on Wednesday morning at the Ethiopian Youth Sports Academy ground in Addis Ababa where the Black Stars are based.
“He had a small injury. Just that I don’t want to put a problem for him to make it worse. It is important we treat it and then he trains slowly.” Kwesi Appiah told freelance Ethiopian journalist Omna Taddele Gebru as reported by FootballmadeinGhana.com in an exclusive interview.
Asamoah is returning to the Black Stars after almost four years of absence due to niggling injuries that forced him to take the international break.
The versatile player has started the Serie A season strongly starting all of Inter Milan’s three league games but this represents the latest reverse against the player’s return to selection and is expected to be fit for the Kenya game.
