Premier league winner Yusif Abubakar is linked with a move to take the position of Paa Kwesi Fabin at Asante Kotoko.

The former Ghana U-17 gaffer signed a one year deal in February 2018 with the Porcupine Warriors.

When that contract expires in five months, Abubakar, who won the premier league titles with both Berekum Chelsea in 2011 as assistant coach and Aduana Stars in 2017 as head coach is the favorite name to replace Fabin.

New CEO of the club George Amoako, according to club sources, sees Abubabak as a better tactician and that fact that he is available for free following his departure at Aduana Stars last June.

The former Techiman City manager also counts Hearts of Oak among his former employers.
