Ghanaian defender Rashid Sumaila is unable to feature for Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League playoffs over the delay in his registration.
The 25-year-old joined the Serbian giants in June on loan from Al Qadsia.
Red Star however failed to register the defender in time for the Champions League playoffs.
Sumaila who has been key for the Serbian club in their domestic league competition was conspicuously missing from Red Stars 0-0 stalemate with Red Bull Salzburg.
Checks by FootballmadeinGhana.com have revealed the Ghana international is unable to play for Red Star in the Champions League playoffs as he is not registered.
Sumaila’s only hope of playing in this season’s Champions League is for Red Star to qualify to the group phase of the competition where he would be registered and be eligible to play
