Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman says he feels 100% fit for the new Bundesliiga campaign
The 24-year-old started his first competitive match in 605 days in Schalke 04’s 2-0 win over Schweinfurt in the DFB Pokal Cup on Friday night.
Baba’s return to full time action ends a long and tortuous road to full recovery from a serious knee injury he sustained while playing for the Black Stars at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
The full-back who is on loan from Chelsea now feels he is ready on all fronts for the start of the German top flight this weekend.
”I feel really good,” he said.
”I feel 100 percent and I’ve got my strength back.
”With more match practice, you can regain your strength quicker.”
Baba is expected to start for Schalke when they travel to face Wolfsburg in their opening Bundesliga match.
