Ghana moved two places up in the latest FIFA World rankings of national football teams despite not playing at the World Cup in Russia.
The West African nation moved from position number 47 to number 45 in Thursday rankings for the month of August.
Tunisia and Senegal are jointly ranked 24th in the world by FIFA. The North Africans won their last group game against Panama in the World Cup in Russia after losing their opening games to England and Belgium but continue to top the Africa rankings whilst Senegal recorded four points in their group beating Poland and drawing against Japan but failed to advanced to the next round.
Congo DR, ranked 37th globally, maintain their position in the top four as they occupy the third place ahead of fourth placed Ghana.
Meanwhile World Cup winners France take over at the top while Germany drop to 15th after their group stage exit in Russia – having been top of the tree going into the tournament.
