The 2018/19 season of the national soccer championship of the Ivory Coast starts Friday September 7 and former Asante Kotoko and Bechem United striker Amed Toure will be starting his second full season with champions ASEC Mimosas.

Toure scored 17 league goals in the ASEC title-winning season of 2017/18.

With his contract set to expire in few months the 1998 CAF Champions league winners succeeded in convincing the prolific goalscorer to extend his stay in Sol Beni reportedly for one more season. The player signed the contract yesterday in Abidjan.
