FIFA has confirmed its meeting with officials of the Ghana government on Thursday in relation to its threat of a ban
The world football governing body has issued an ultimatum to the government to withdraw its lawsuit seeking to liquidate the Ghana FA or face a ban.
While government has not given any indication of their willingness to comply with FIFA’s directive, Ghana President Nana Akufo Addo in a telephone conversation with FIFA boss Gianni Infantino convinced FIFA into meeting a government delegation in Zurich on Thursday.
The delegation includes Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo, Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah, Deputy Chief of Staff Samuel Abu Jinapor, Deputy Attorney General Godfred Dame and head of Liaison Team Dr. Kofi Amoah.
This will be the third time a government delegation will be meeting FIFA since the corruption scandal hit the Ghana FA in June.
