The Attorney General Gloria Akuffo is reportedly ready to start prosecuting Ghana FA officials caught in the Anas expose.
This move expected to commence next week is in response to FIFA’s ultimatum to the Ghana government.
FIFA have notified the state that Ghana stands suspended from all football activities if it doesn’t withdraw its court suit looking to liquidate the Ghana FA by August 27.
But government appear not faced at all by the threat of a ban and will be proceeding to prosecute officials who were caught in the investigative documentary released by Anas Aremeyaw Anas receiving alleged bribes.
Former President of the Ghana FA Kwesi Nyantakyi is one of such officials expected to be prosecuted next week.
He has already been arrested and granted bail but it is unknown whether charges have been brought against him.
Other high ranking Ghana FA officials such as Abdul Ganiyu Lawal, Eddie Doku and Abu Alhasan are also expected to be prosecuted.
