Ghana defender Daniel Amartey started the new Premier League season on a poor note as Leicester City fell 2-1 to Manchester United on Friday night.
The 23-year-old had a game to forget in a make-shift right-back position for the Foxes in the game played at Old Trafford.
Amartey’s nightmarish performance started from the onset when he gifted the hosts a penalty kick inside just two minutes.
Captain Paul Pogba stepped up to dispatch the spot kick.
Amartey, naturally a central player went on to record one of his worst statistics in his career.
The Ghanaian only won three of the eight duels he was involved in. He didn’t deliver a single cross while winning just one aerial battle.
Amartey capped off his poor performance with a booking and had to be withdrawn in the 63rd minute.
That however didn’t stop Leicester from losing as Luke Shaw doubles United’s lead before substitute Jamie Vardy pulled one back in the dying minutes.
