The FC Porto striker was loaned to French club Nantes on Tuesday making it his third career loan transfer.
It is also the seventh time that the 26-year Ghanaian international is making a move in the European transfer market in the last eight years of his professional career.
No other Black Stars player has realized more movements within the same period.
After starting his youth career at Right to Dream academy in Ghana the highly-rated 18-year old Waris was transferred to BK Hacken in October 2009 from Nike Academy in England for his first professional contract in the Swedish Allsvenskan where he became the first player to score five goals in one match in the 21st century.
Having excelled in Sweden Waris was going to be the subject of six more movements on the European continent.
He was purchased by Spartak Moscow in 2013 but was loaned out to Ligue 1 side Valenciennes in January 2014 where he scored 9 goals in 16 games to complete the 2013/14 season.
Turkish club Trabzonspor became his fourth professional side when Waris signed a 4-year deal but after zero goals in eighteen league appearances the Turkish side separated with the Ghanaian.
However there was French side Lorient on the receiving end as the former Right to Dream academy graduate was offered a four year deal by Bernard Casoni’s team.
Waris found happiness under Casoni his former boss at Valenciennes. 25 goals in 73 appearances for Lorient – of which 21 strikes came in the Ligue 1 – was a very good return for the striker.
After three years of raining goals at the Stade due Moustoir the Black Stars striker made a loan move to Portugal giants FC Porto in January this year but after struggling to break into Sergio Conceicao’s first team he was forced to look elsewhere and without a surprise Monsieur Waris found that in the league he’s played the most as he said yes to the 8-times Ligue 1 winners Nantes.
But after these seven transfers has Majeed Waris really found what he went looking for in Europe?
