Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris has joined French Ligue 1 side Nantes on loan from Portuguese champions FC Porto.

Waris signed a permanent four-year deal with Porto this summer but has been told he has to move elsewhere for playing time as he is not in the manager Sergio Conceicao’s immediate plans.

The Ghana international appended his signature to the Canaries deal on Tuesday after successful medicals at Pays De La Loires.

Waris has previously featured for French clubs Valenciennes, and Lorient where he rose to become their main man in attack.
