Andre Ayew is set to make his competitive debut for Fenerbahce in the UEFA Champions league tonight at the Estadio da Luz.
After completing his season-long loan deal from Swansea City to the Turkish club this summer Ayew’s first test is against the great Benfica in the 65 000 capacity stadium.
The FIFA U-20 World Cup winner is in the Portuguese capital city of Lisbon with his teammates ahead of the first leg of the Champions league third qualifying round.
The 28-year old successfully trained with his team – managed by former Dutch international Philip Cocu- at the Da Luz ahead of the standout clash of this round.
Ayew will be fighting for forward positions against the likes of Mathieu Valbuena, Brazilian Sousa, Nabil Dirar and former Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado.
Fenerbahce are seeking to reach the group stage of the competition for the fist time in ten years.
