David Laryea came out worse off with a life ban as CAF handed various degrees of bans on eight Ghanaian officials caught in the Anas expose.

CAF’s Disciplinary Board handed the sanctions following their meeting on August 5.

Several referees across the African continent were caught in a sting operation by Ghanaian journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas receiving bribes.

The referees, most of whom are Ghanaians are now getting punished by the continental football governing body.

Aside Laryear, Reginals Larthbridge, Eric Nantierre and Cecil Fleischer are amongst other Ghanaian officials to have been punished.

Former referee and now a CAF Technical Instructor Joseph Wellington was also banned after being also caught in the sting operation.
