Head Coach of the Benin U-20 national team, Valerie Houandinou attributed his side’s 3-1 loss to inexperienced against the Black Satellites of Ghana.
Benin after going a goal up at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in the first half against Ghana started delaying time in the second half but goals from Richard Danso and Ishaaku Konda ensured that they went home with no point in the African U-20 Youth Championship Qualifier.
When asked if he told his players to waste time in the second half, he said no but thinks that they were inexperienced “I did not ask them to do that, but I think it was lack experience and youthfulness on our part, maybe they taught when you do that, you will get a point. As I said earlier, they are not use to this type of competition, so there are things we have to correct” he told footballmadeinghana.com
