Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila played his first game for Red Star Belgrade in their 2-1 win at Vozdovac on Saturday.
The 25-year-old joined the Serbian giants last month on loan from Qadsia SC.
Sumaila who up until now has been working on improving his fitness was deemed ready enough to last the entire duration.
Playing in his no.37 jersey, the former Mamelodi Sundowns man put in a good shift despite the minor blip that led to the consolation by Vozdovac.
The win sees Red Star retain their 100% start to the season having won all three games so far this season in the Super Liga.
