Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko winger George Yamoah says it is about time Ghanaian media men stop tagging experienced players as old.
Yamoah who is one of the most talented players Ghana has ever seen in local level believes the action of the media in relations to experienced players is not the best as they always make mockery of them.
“One of the major problems we have in this country is how the media treat experienced players, they tag them as old men and always make mockery of them especially when they decide to return to the local scene after sojourns outside,” Tamoah told Footballmadeinghana.com
“I believe it is about that the media put an end to it, such things does not happen elsewhere so it is easier for their players to return home after playing outside. Look at Brazil for instance. We must rather welcome our experienced players,”
Yamoah played for Liberty Professionals and Kotoko before moving to Thailand to play professional football.
