The spokesperson of the Liaison Team Dan Kwaku Yeboah says events prior to Ghana’s triumph in the 1982 Africa Cup of Nations should inspire the Black Princesses ahead of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup kickoff in France.
“We all remember the 1982 AFCON when the previous head of state Hilla Limann had ordered against a Ghana participation in that Libya tournament due to political reasons but President Rawlings came and installed us back into the competition and we won it.” Yeboah recalled in an interview with Shalom Radio.
“We know due to the Anas video the preparations of the team didn’t go as planned but let’s all hope our ladies do well in the competition.” Kwaku Yeboah added.
