General captain of Aduana Stars, Emmanuel Akuoko has apologized to Ghanaians after their disappointing defeat to AS Vita club in Congo.
Aduana Stars suffered their second defeat in the group over the weekend making their chances of qualifying to the quarter finals very slim.
But the general skipper has pleaded on behalf of his teammates and has promised they will make amends in their next game.
” We apologize to Ghanaians for the results, we hope to make amends in our next game” He told Oyerepa fm in Kumasi.
“We were hoping to at least get a point which didn’t materialize and as a team we have to put the loss against Vita Club behind us and strategise against ASEC”
Emmanuel Akuoko further described their game against Asec Mimosa as a must win game.
“That particular match is a must win and my colleagues know that if only we want to qualify for the quarter finals, we have no other business but to beat ASEC Mimosa” He added.
Aduana Stars are third in the group with 4 points and are behind leaders Raja Casablanca and second place AS Vita club.
