Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Isaac Amoako has questioned the competence of the management of the club following a series of issues since he left Kumasi.
“The way the club treat players is very bad. Just look at how they handle the things, it’s not the best.” he said to Boss FM.
“I was even lucky Dreams FC came for me other than that I would’ve been club-less by now. Ashgold requested for my services and I discussed it with them to let me leave since I wasn’t playing but they didn’t agree. But the next thing they did was to tell me I am not needed at the club anymore. They handed me a letter to leave and thanks to God that Dreams FC gave me a chance.”Amoako explained.
“Look at somebody like Baba Mahama he is without a club. Very good players but imagine the treatment he received. It’s very bad when you look at the timing these players were even put on transfer. We don’t do thing like that” He added.
Amoako is also a leader of a group of Kotoko players that are currently demanding their share of the monetary donations the club received following Kotoko’s July 2017 road accident.
He won four premier league titles with Kotoko during a very successful stay in Kumasi.
