Aduana Stars suffered their second defeat in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday as striker Jean-Marc Makusu Mundele scored a brilliant brace for AS Vita in Kinshasa.
Vita took the lead when striker Makusu, completely unmarked, scored fourteen minutes after the game commenced, comfortably jumping inside the area to deliver a clever a header after receiving a cross from the left side that confused the Aduana defence.
Vita club enjoyed majority of ball possession with central midfielder Emomo Eddy Ngoy, in jersey number 5, at the heart of the Vita orchestration excellently dictating how the game should go. The V Club took the game to the Ogya side tormenting the Aduana back four frequently and on the lateral sides both Caleb Amankwa and Justice Anane had lot of work to do.
The second period was also dominated by the home side as Makusu Mundele realized a brace rounding up goalkeeper Joseph Addo in the box to shake the net once again in the 78th minute.
Aduana Stars best chance fell to Bright Adjei who almost equalized in the 58th minute following a corner kick but Vita goalkeeper Lukong Nelson prevented him.
Despite conceding two goals, Aduana goalkeeper Addo produced a high-level performance making the most saves in the game. His super saves came in the 45th minute where he made two important saves in quick succession to keep the scoreline at 1-0 at half time.
Addo was the subject of another wonderful save in the 53rd minute . He repeated that four minutes from time and on the 90th minute the scoreline could have read AS Vita 3 Aduana 0. But thanks to another great save by Addo, Vita were denied more goals.

Meanwhile the other Group A game between Raja Casablanca and ASEC Mimosas is kicking off later this evening in Casablanca.
This win takes Vita to the summit of the group on 7 points on the interim.
