Hearts of Oak legend Bernard Don Bortey tips Aduana Stars winger Zakaria Mumuni to do even better than what he, Bortey, did in Ghana football.
“I have watched him for some time now and I must tell you the boy is a very good footballer. He has the skills and the quality is there” Don Bortey said in an interview with FootballMadeinGhana ahead of the AS Vita v Aduana Stars Kinshasa showdown.
But Bortey who also played for the Dormaa side added that the former WAFA winger can become a great player only when he starts scoring plenty of goals and winning games for his team especially in very hard games.
“But you see a very good footballer and a great footballer are not the same. He should be killing games on his own if he wants to become great. He has to be scoring on regular basis. In my peak for instance people used to say I was playing with magic looking at the type of goals I was scoring. The goals from corner kicks and those from distances but it was not the case. It was hardwork and my eagerness to always score the goals to make my supporters happy ” Bortey explained.
“This away game (v AS Vita) for instance is a tough one and this is where the players must stand up to make the difference.” he added.
Mumuni’s only goal in Africa this season was scored in the Aduana Stars 6 Fosa Juniors 1 game in April.
