Former Ghanaian international Yussif Chibsah Alhassan says majority of Ghanaian players do not desire to be at the top.
Chibsah who is a FIFA player intermediary and represents players including Majeed Waris and others says Ghanaian players are always content with little and once they get to Europe, they do not want to push to the top of world football
“Most Ghanaian players get carried away after signing their first professional contract outside the country. They get carried away with the little money and forget that there is big money ahead if they push harder,” he told Happy Sports.
“When they come home for holidays, their attitude and conduct tells you they are already carried away.”
“If at that point they don’t get someone to tell them to use the step to grab bigger opportunities, they end there.”
Chibsah spent his professional playing career in Sweden where he played for clubs such as Gefle and Djurgarden.
He acquired his FIFA Player Intermediary License in 2017 through the Ghana Football Association.
