Turkish Superlig side Göztepe have confirmed that they have reached advanced talks with Ghana forward Patrick Twumasi.
The 24-year-old attacker was a transfer target of the Izmir-based club last summer but the deal failed to go through making him to stay at Astana.
Turkish tabloid Fanatic quoted Goztepe that they have almost reached an agreement with Twumasi and he could fly to Turkey to sign soon.
“We have been able to persuade Patrick Twumasi the player we wanted last season but could not get. The Ghanaian footballer is expected to come to Izmir for signature in the coming days.” the statement stated
Twumasi played 18 games for Astana last season scoring eight goals.
