Spanish La Liga giants Villareal have completed the signing of Ghana youth international Emmanuel Lomotey on loan from Cordoba.
Lomotey joined the Caliphs in the ongoing summer transfer window after a successful loan spell at Extremadura but he has been snatched by Villareal and he will continue his development at the Estadio de la Ceremica for one year.
Villareal manager Javier Calleja is said to have monitored the lanky midfielder for sometime now and believes he can help in their quest for glory which has prompted the loan deal.
The former Dreams FC enforcer is the second player to be in the books of Villareal after Mubarak Wakaso who featured for them during the 2011-2012 season.
Villreal finished 5th in the La Liga and will be playing in the Europa League.
