Ghana forward David Accam is pleased with his first goal this season for his club Philadelphia Union.
Accam who replaced Ilsinho in the 17th minute netted late on Wednesday night as Philadelphia Union defeated his former club Chicago Fire by four goals to three at the Toyota Park.
The Ghanaian broke the heart of his ex employers with a superb 90th minute strike which proved to be the match winner.
“I think every last-minute winner is amazing,” Accam told reporters after the match. “It was also my first goal this season. For me, I’ve worked really hard and I think this goal will rank high in my career.”
“I needed this to get going,For me, I’m so happy to get this. “Maybe I’m used to scoring goals here (Toyota Park),” he laughed.
The Ghanaian forward joined Union in January this year and is gradually warming himself into the team.
