Black Stars midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has called on Government and all stakeholders to help bring back local football.
All Football related activities have been halted in the country after investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas premiered an undercover act on football which saw some football administrators caught engaging in bribery acts.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder said most of the players plying their trade locally get their daily meals from football and the local league also help in producing players for the national team so Government and all stakeholders should join hands to bring local football back.
“I think they should try and find solution to it, because we need most of our players, the local league is helping us get more players for the Black Stars and the players also get their daily meals from the clubs so I think they should try and find solution to it ” he told the press.
Partey won the best player at the maiden edition of the Ghana Football Awards which was held last Sunday at Accra.
