Ghana international Gladson Awako insists that a reunion with his former TP Mazembe and Phoenix Rising Stars boss, Patrice Carteron is possible.
The experienced Frenchman was named as the new coach of Egyptian giants Al Ahly last week after deciding to part ways with US second-tier side Phoenix Rising Stars.
Carteron built a winsome team at TP Mazembe which had several Ghanaians and he was able to bring Solomon Asante and Gladson Awako to Phoenix Rising Stars when he joined them last season.
The globe-trotting French gaffer has joined Al Ahly and Awako says none of the Ghanaian players he has nurtured will resist if he wants their services.
“Carteron is like a father to us (Ghanaian players), no one can say no if he wants us. The bond is good and we move on well. If he says he wants any of us I think we will consider it” Awako told Happy FM
“He is a great manager with huge experience. I am very hopeful that he will succeed at Al Ahly”
Carteron has handled Ghanaian players namely Gladson Awako, Solomon Asante, Daniel Nii Adjei, Yaw Frimpong and Kissi Boateng.
