Ghana youth defender Emmanuel Eli Keke is pleased with his first goal in his professional football career.
The former Dreams FC youngster was on target over the weekend as his side Vikingur Olafsvik defeated Leiknir Reykjavik by three goals to nothing at the Ólafsvík Sports Stadium in the Iceland Deild League.
“It was special for me to score my first league goal after putting up good performances through out our matches. It was our first home game of the season, scoring on my first home debut through a direct freekick I took makes it more special because I know it’s one of my qualities.” Eli told footballmadeinghana.com
“The game was keenly contested as it has been in every match I play, teams are strong and also know how to play. The side that is smart and takes their chances always win.”
Eli netted the third goal for his side in the 95th minute after goals from Alexander Sigurdarson and Sierra Leonean forward Kwame Quee.
