Ghanaian attacker Collin Quaner says it is unfortunate that the Black Stars of Ghana could not make it to the 2018 FIFA World Cup as it was the dream of many Ghanaian football fans.
The Huddersfield Town striker who is set to feature for the Black Stars after a successful meeting with coach James Kwesi Appiah last month insists that sometimes such things happen in sports and it is not every time you can reach your target.
“It is very unfortunate that Ghana could not make it to the World Cup because this was a goal for the whole country, sometimes in Sports you don’t reach your goals and I believe the players who played the qualifiers will be disappointed and the whole country also.” The EPL striker told footballmadeinghana.com
“I have been following Ghanaian football for long and more importantly the Black Stars because in Europe you don’t get the chance to watch the Ghanaian Premier League and also get all the news inside Ghanaian local game”
“Sometimes, I ask my dad about the football in Ghana and he tells me a lot. I know a few teams like Asante Kotoko” he added.
Quaner played 26 EPL games last season providing four assists.
